Lumberjacks Getting It Done In Week 5

by NLFA PR

Bossier City, LA - This past Saturday the Lumberjacks winning streak extended with their 30-6 win over the Roughnecks.

The Lumberjacks defense wasted no time putting points on the board as they pinned the Roughnecks offense inside their 5-yard line, which ended up giving the Lumberjacks 2 points as a result of a safety. Momentum remained on the Lumberjacks side as QB Derrick Banks Jr (1) led his team down the field to score 10 unanswered points prior to the half.

The Roughnecks fought back striking first in the 3rd quarter as QB Ethan Ortiz (3) connected with WR Jacobs-Hudson (11) for a 30-yard touchdown pass.

After finishing strong in the second half, the Lumberjacks advance to 3-2 on the season placing them in the #2 spot ahead of the Roughnecks.

The Lumberjacks look to secure the #2 seed heading into the post-season by defeating the Rattlers this Saturday to close out the season in week 6.
