We Can Help You Build A Future — On and Off the Field

The North Louisiana Football Alliance (NLFA) was built for players just like you—athletes with talent, drive, and hunger who just need the right platform. If your college offers didn’t come, or if life has taken you on a different path, the NLFA gives you a second chance to keep playing the game you love while earning the skills you need for a career that lasts a lifetime.

Through our partnerships with the Coordinating & Development Corporation, trade schools and technical programs, NLFA athletes can train for high-demand careers in fields like welding, HVAC, electrical work, CDL/trucking, carpentry, and more.

No student loans. No long-term debt. Real skills. Real pay.

NLFA Life Skills Program

The NLFA Life Skills Program is a 4-week, intensive, and actionable curriculum for young adults (ages 18–24). Hosted during the fall and winter, it transitions students from theory to practice using real-world role-playing, peer-to-peer discussions, and active learning to build essential skills in personal finance, career readiness, mental health, and civics.
What You Will Learn
Our program is designed to move straight past textbook theory and give you practical, hands-on strategies. The 4-week curriculum covers four core modules:
  • Personal Finance: Budgeting, banking basics, credit management, and avoiding financial pitfalls.
  • Career Readiness: Resume building, interview prep, and navigating job searches.
  • Mental Health & Stress Management: Strategies for emotional resilience, balancing daily life, and managing pressure.
  • Independent Living & Civics: Understanding housing, basic legal rights, and community engagement.

Program Format
  • Who: Young adults and student-athletes ages 18–24.
  • Duration: 4 weeks, hosted during the fall and winter months.
  • Method: Action-oriented—expect active learning, role-playing, and collaborative group discussions rather than boring lectures.
