NLFA Announces Community Outreach and Workforce Engagement Collaboration with CDC

Bossier City, La. — The North Louisiana Football Alliance (NLFA) and the Coordinating & Development Corporation (CDC) are pleased to announce a collaborative effort focused on community outreach, workforce awareness, and engagement opportunities across North Louisiana.

The collaboration is intended to help increase awareness of workforce, training, educational, and career development resources available to individuals and families throughout the region.

Through this effort, both organizations will work together to identify opportunities for outreach, mentorship, workforce readiness awareness, and community engagement activities that support personal and professional growth beyond athletics.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to supporting individuals both on and off the field,” said Holland Witherspoon, Founder and President of the NLFA. “We believe exposure to workforce opportunities, mentorship, and career pathways can have a lasting impact on the young adults we serve.”

Areas of collaboration may include:

• Workforce readiness and career awareness activities
• Community outreach and engagement initiatives
• Promotion of available workforce and training resources
• Mentorship and personal development opportunities
• Referral connections to education, employment, and support services

CDC representatives noted the importance of building partnerships with community organizations that already have strong local relationships and engagement opportunities.

“Community partnerships play an important role in connecting individuals to workforce resources and career opportunities,” said CDC representatives. “Collaborative outreach efforts help expand awareness and strengthen access to available services throughout the region.”

Both organizations emphasized that the collaboration is centered on outreach, awareness, and community engagement efforts designed to positively impact individuals throughout North Louisiana.

Participation in workforce programs administered through CDC remains subject to applicable program eligibility requirements, funding availability, and federal and state workforce regulations.
